Job summary

Imagine Pediatrics, a tech-enabled pediatric medical group, seeks a Principal Software Engineer to shape and execute long-term technical strategy across engineering. You will translate clinical goals into architecture, define standards, and mentor senior engineers while collaborating with product and business leaders to deliver scalable, compliant digital health solutions.

You will champion AI adoption, contribute to on-call support, and communicate complex ideas to diverse stakeholders,

Qualifications

• Visionary technologist with deep experience in systems, architecture, and design.
• Track record of setting technical strategy and alignment across multiple teams.
• Experience defining architectural standards and mentoring engineers.
• Deep understanding of front end applications, APIs, and back-end services.
• Strong hands-on experience with React.
• Experience delivering mobile, digital products to app stores; React Native a plus.
• Strong understanding of Web and Mobile solution layers.
• Experience using AI as a transformative technology.
• Experience hosting services on AWS.

Responsibilities

• Lead long-term technical strategy translating business and clinical goals into a technical vision.
• Define architectural standards and drive long-term strategy across the organization.
• Advise engineering leadership and executives, shaping strategy and recommending actions.
• Explore early-stage ideas and proofs of concept to de-risk future initiatives.
• Coach and mentor senior engineers and staff+ to design complex systems.
• Drive cross-team collaboration and craftsmanship practices.
• Champion AI adoption across engineering and products.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Partner with product, clinical, and business stakeholders to translate goals into architecture.
