Job summary

HealthMark Group seeks a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security controls across AWS, focusing on PHI protection and compliance with HIPAA, HITRUST and SOC 2. This remote US role will contribute to secure cloud architecture and governance.

You will lead the security guardrails, multi-account setup, policy-as-code integration, and secure CI/CD practices while mentoring peers and guiding incident response efforts.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in cybersecurity, infra or DevOps, with 3+ years AWS-focused engineering.
• Hands-on with PHI-protecting AWS services and secure cloud design.
• Experience with HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2 or similar frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and build security controls in AWS to protect PHI.
• Maintain multi-account AWS architecture and guardrails.
• Integrate policy-as-code tools to enforce controls before deployment.
• Lead incident response and post-incident analysis in AWS.
• Mentor engineers and drive security in CI/CD pipelines.
