Job summary

Robinhood is hiring a Senior Staff Security Engineer in Menlo Park, CA. You will lead a ~40-person Security Engineering org spanning IAM, cryptography, cloud, and AI security, setting long-term direction and building production security architectures.

You will own high-impact initiatives, collaborate with engineering leaders to align roadmaps, and mentor engineers while staying close to production systems to ensure practical, secure outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of technical leadership across large groups of engineers.
• Deep expertise in Identity & Access Management and/or Cryptography with breadth across security domains.
• Hands-on software or security engineering background building and operating production systems.
• Ability to define roadmaps and drive cross-team initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define cross-domain technical strategy across Security Engineering.
• Build AI security foundations for emerging AI technologies and agentic automation.
• Drive major cross-cutting initiatives from concept to production.
