Job summary

Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Application Engineer for our Seating Solutions team in Vonore, TN.

You will serve as the technical bridge between customers and engineering and sales, translating needs into manufacturable seat solutions for automotive and commercial vehicles. The role requires strong seating systems knowledge, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in application or design engineering.
• Experience in seat design, packaging, or application engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, guiding seat design and manufacturability.
• Lead customer discovery, requirements clarification, and project scoping discussions.
• Review specifications, prepare technical proposals, and estimate material feasibility.
• Translate requirements into drawings and specifications for seat assemblies.
• Support product development, design validation, and program launch readiness.
