Job summary

The Clearing House is seeking a Senior Software Developer Engineer in Testing (SDET) to join the RTP Product Engineering team. You will design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases to ensure the quality, reliability and performance of our real-time interbank payment platform.

You will lead automation efforts, collaborate with product and operations teams, and drive testing best practices across projects while aligning with TCH standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, etc.), or equivalent experience (6+ years).
• 6+ years as an SDET or similar role with automated testing focus (Java + Selenium).
• Design and build robust test automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, WebDriver and related tools.
• Hands-on testing of applications on AWS cloud platform (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, IAM).
• Experience with Kafka for event-driven apps; Linux and AIX environments; Confluence/SharePoint.
• Agile/Iterative development, test planning/execution, data setup, defect reporting, status metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, estimation, development, and implementation of test automation frameworks and strategies.
• Design and develop automated testing scripts; translate manual scenarios to automation across products.
• Automate testing for use in a DevOps architecture and for Agile Scrum teams.
• Collaborate with product teams; investigate defects and document resolutions; communicate status to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior QE members, perform peer reviews, and promote continuous testing improvements.
• Contribute to end-to-end quality engineering transformation and data-driven testing approaches.
