Job summary

The Clearing House is seeking a Software Engineer to join the RTP Product Engineering team in Charlotte, NC. You will design, develop, test, and maintain highly reliable real-time interbank payment software using Java, Spring, and Python, with cloud-native and containerized deployments on AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Solid understanding of core software engineering concepts including OO and functional programming, data structures, APIs, automated testing, and source code control.
• 3+ years in Java software development experience including analysis, design, development, documentation, implementation and testing of systems.
• Experience developing Python scripts and programs for data management and analysis.
• Exposure to AWS or another major public cloud provider and familiar with cloud-native architectures, microservices, containers, and distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD and automated build/deployment processes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for design, testing, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain highly reliable software supporting real-time payment processing.
• Write clean and maintainable Java code compliant with quality standards and secure coding practices.
• Develop software components using enterprise Java frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot.
• Develop Python scripts and programs for data automation and integration services.
• Participate in modernization and cloud-native migrations and build on AWS.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments in Kubernetes environments.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality software and perform code reviews.
