Job summary

The Clearing House is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the RTP Product Engineering team. You will design, develop, and enhance a real-time interbank payments platform with cloud-native AWS components and modern automation, delivering reliable systems that scale.

You will work closely with product and operations teams, mentor engineers, and contribute to secure, resilient software while advancing scalable architectures and AI-assisted development practices in a Scrum environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Java software development with Spring/Spring Boot.
• Experience with cloud-native, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on AWS or other major cloud provider; serverless is a plus.
• Event-driven architectures using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Proficient Python for data pipelines and automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain real-time payment processing software.
• Serve as a senior technical contributor across the SDLC.
• Build components with Java, Spring, and AWS cloud-native stacks.
• Develop services and APIs with modern engineering patterns.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to coding standards and reviews.
