Job summary

The Clearing House is seeking a Software Engineer to join the RTP Product Engineering team. You will develop and enhance our real-time interbank payment platform, building new features while improving reliability and performance. The role involves Java (Spring) and some Python, with cloud, containers, and automation focus.

Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and operations teams to deliver high-quality software using AI-assisted development tools, CI/CD, and Terraform on AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS, IS, CE, Data Science, or related field.
• Solid understanding of OO and functional programming, data structures, APIs, tests, and VCS.
• 3+ years in Java software development including analysis, design, development and testing.
• Experience developing Python scripts for data management and analysis.
• Exposure to AWS or other major public cloud provider; familiar with cloud-native architectures, microservices, containers, and distributed systems.
• Strong CI/CD understanding and automated build/deploy processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain reliable software for real-time payment processing.
• Write clean Java code aligned with quality standards and secure practices.
• Develop components using Spring/Spring Boot frameworks.
• Develop Python scripts for data automation and integration services.
• Participate in cloud-native modernization and Kubernetes-based deployments.
• Collaborate with product teams, architects, and operations; participate in reviews.
