Job summary

MaintainX, a leading AI-powered maintenance platform, seeks a Senior SDET to build the shared quality platform and automation that powers every engineering team. You’ll craft AI-assisted testing infrastructure, improve CI/CD integration, and raise overall release confidence.

You will mentor engineers, partner with QA Advocates, SRE, and product teams, and shape the future of AI-powered testing at MaintainX.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade test automation frameworks.
Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to write, debug, and maintain production code.
Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and diagnosing flaky tests.
Experience building or maintaining shared developer tooling, testing infrastructure, or engineering platforms.
Experience using AI development tools to accelerate workflows while applying sound engineering judgment.
Comfortable owning systems end-to-end from architecture to production support.
Experience mentoring engineers and raising engineering quality across teams.
Excellent English communication, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

Build and evolve MaintainX's shared quality platform, test automation frameworks, and developer tooling.
Design and develop AI-assisted test authoring infrastructure to reduce test creation time while preserving quality.
Own CI integration standards and improve build reliability across teams.
Design test harnesses for AI-powered capabilities including health checks and outage tolerance.
Identify and reduce flaky tests and systemic test debt before it impacts teams.
Create shared testing utilities and frameworks adopted across the org.
Collaborate with Quality Advocates, product engineers, and SRE to improve testing strategy and reliability.
Evaluate AI testing tools and drive adoption where they add measurable engineering impact.
