Job summary

Opiniion, a SaaS AI-first resident experience platform, seeks a Senior SDET to own test strategy and automation across our platform. This is an engineering role focused on production-grade code to build and maintain scalable automation frameworks, driving quality for both current and new platforms.

You'll work with architects to design the new platform, then own quality and test ownership post-release, while continuing to own automation on the existing platform.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and maintaining scalable automation across UI, API, and integration layers.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or TypeScript or similar.
• Hands-on automation with Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress and API tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test integration into deployments.
• Experience with BDD/TDD (Cucumber, Gherkin) and performance testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks across UI, API, and integration layers.
• Own quality gates and test criteria in CI/CD pipelines.
• Write and maintain automated test suites aligned with feature development.
• Partner with architects on new platform design and test strategy.
• On current platform, own test automation, quality gates, and regression coverage.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions with quality perspective.
• Diagnose flaky tests, performance bottlenecks, and root causes.
• Build and maintain performance/load testing for critical workflows.
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling for test generation and coverage analysis.
• Contribute to AI-powered feature testing including LLM-based validations.
• Mentor engineers on test automation practices and testable design.
