Job summary

SHI International Corp. is seeking a Sr. Solutions Consultant - SDDC to support post-sales data center automation initiatives, including VMware Cloud Foundation deployments and private cloud integrations. The role is remote with a home office setup as determined by SHI management.

You will lead architecture work, mentor engineers, and drive automation using Ansible, Terraform, SaltStack, PowerShell, and JavaScript while partnering in pre-sales and service engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in solutions architecture or infrastructure.
• 5+ years of experience with VMware in enterprise environments.
• 5+ years of technical experience with increasing responsibility.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Strong understanding of virtualization technologies & software-defined datacenter.
• Ability to build and maintain systems leveraging infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs low-level design and implementation work including architecture analysis, system migration, and systems engineering.
• Design and implement VMware Cloud Foundation, Aria Automation, and Private AI Foundation deployments.
• Lead automation using Ansible, Terraform, or SaltStack; leverage PowerShell/PowerCLI and JavaScript.
• Manage server virtualization, storage, and networking (vSAN, SAN, NSX, Tanzu/VKS).
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership within the team and in pre-sales/post-sales engagements.
• Stay current with industry trends and contribute to pre-sales design and services planning.
