Job summary
SHI International Corp. is seeking a Sr. Solutions Architect - SDDC for remote, home-office based work.
The role focuses on post‑sales data center automation using VMware VCF, Terraform, Ansible, SaltStack, and related IaC tools. You will design, implement, mentor, and lead teams on large‑scale infrastructure projects spanning private clouds and modern data centers. The ideal candidate will have deep VMware expertise (VCF, NSX, vSAN) and strong scripting skills, with ability to guide customers
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of solutions architecture or infrastructure experience.
- 10+ years with VMware and related enterprise products.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- Strong virtualization and software‑defined datacenter knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Perform low‑level design and implementation work including architecture analysis and design.
- Design and implement VMware VCF (Aria) Automation and IaC tooling.
- Lead projects as technical lead and mentor other consultants.
- Stay current with industry trends and provide pre-/post‑sales support.
- Collaborate with sales/presales to scope services opportunities.
