Job summary

SHI International Corp. seeks a Solutions Engineer - Enterprise to collaborate with account teams, assess customer data center environments, and design tailored infrastructure solutions aligned with business goals.

You will build technical relationships with OEMs and provide training to sales teams and customers, supporting opportunities across Data Center, Cloud, Network, Security, and Services. The role is remote but must reside in the Detroit, MI or Grand Rapids, MI area to support business

Qualifications

• Experience in complex Data Center sales opportunities.
• Ability to design data center infrastructures including hybrid cloud, SDDC, and automation.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization, hypervisors, and containerization.
• Ability to sell complex technical products by understanding customer needs.
• Expertise with major tech vendors (Dell, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, Pure Storage, Azure, AWS, Veeam, Nutanix).
• Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity and high availability solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with account teams to evaluate customer data center environments.
• Design and propose tailored infrastructure solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Build and maintain technical relationships with OEMs and partners.
• Provide product training and technical education to sales and customers.
• Act as a trusted IT advisor and manage the solution pipeline.
• Identify technology opportunities across Data Center, Cloud, Network, Security, and Services.
• Engage CIOs, IT Directors, and CTOs for comprehensive account management.
