Job summary

Amentum seeks a Senior Scrum Master to lead high-visibility cyber, security, and intel projects at Fort Meade, MD. The role demands extensive IT project management experience and a strong SAFe background to drive agile execution in a complex environment.

You will collaborate with Government stakeholders, manage the IMS, and coach teams on hybrid delivery while ensuring robust risk management and metrics reporting. Requires TS/SCI eligibility and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Fifteen (15) years of experience in IT project management, systems engineering, or technical program execution.
• Seven (7) years of hybrid methodology experience with at least 3 years in a senior Scrum Master/PM role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end project execution using hybrid and Agile processes.
• Facilitate SAFe ceremonies at team and program levels (Daily Scrums, PI Planning, etc.).
• Manage IMS, deliver status reports to Government PMO and leadership.
• Maintain RAID logs and brief mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
• Remove impediments to maintain high team velocity and quality.
• Track metrics (velocity, burn-downs, SLA) to drive improvements.
• Translate milestones into sprint epics, features, and user stories in Jira/Confluence.
• Coordinate schedules with external contractors and Fort Meade site teams.
• Lead readiness reviews and assist in site deployment schedules.
