Job summary

Amentum is seeking an IT Scrum Master to support the Missile Defense Agency on the IRES contract. The role operates in a mix of on-site and hybrid environments across Huntsville and Colorado Springs, coordinating with RTEs and IT teams to implement SAFe and Agile processes.

The candidate will mentor engineers, manage backlogs, and deliver metrics weekly, while ensuring documentation and compliance with cybersecurity standards. A DoD clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Must have 4+ years of general full-time work experience.
• Must have 2+ years of Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or PM experience.
• Must hold an Agile certification (CSM, PSM I, or SSM).
• Experience using Agile management tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps) for remote/hybrid teams.
• Must have Agile IT operations experience and an active DoW Secret clearance.
• Must be able to obtain active DoW Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with RTE to align Scrum Master role with SAFe frameworks.
• Design, implement, and train IT teams on Agile processes for a structured delivery model.
• Maintain cohesive cross-location teams (HSV COS) with hybrid engagement.
• Facilitate optimized Agile cadence tailored to IT/infrastructure teams.
• Coach teams on Agile/Scrum to deliver high-quality IT solutions.
• Assist Product Owner with backlog maintenance and translating requirements into user stories.
• Ensure data for planning is documented in the system of record for reporting.
• Deliver weekly metrics to RTE and manage sprint velocity, capacity, and burn-down charts.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies during complex enterprise upgrades or break/fix activities.
• Ensure IT service delivery and cybersecurity tasks integrate into the Agile workflow.
• Foster continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
