Job summary

Genentech is seeking a Senior Scientist or Principal Lab Group Head to drive biomarker and drug development for multiple sclerosis. You will lead biomarker-driven translational research using human samples and cutting-edge molecular techniques, guiding cross-functional teams across R&D and clinical development.

The role requires PhD in Neuroscience/Immunology with strong leadership, collaboration across time zones, and publication-level communication.

Qualifications

• PhD in Neuroscience or Immunology or related field with post-doctoral experience.
• Demonstrated independence, hypothesis development, and ability to lead lab scientists.
• Strong writing and communication skills with publications or reports.

Responsibilities

• Identify new targets and biomarkers to support MS drug development.
• Lead data generation and analyses in internal studies and external collaborations.
• Integrate biomarkers into clinical trials and/or target validation efforts.
• Communicate results effectively to cross-functional teams and conferences.
