Genentech in South San Francisco is seeking a Principal Scientist in Translational Medicine Oncology to design and implement pharmacodynamic and predictive biomarker strategies across oncology trials from early to late development.

You will lead cross-functional biomarker efforts, publish findings, collaborate with academic and KOL partners, and contribute to mechanistic understanding of tumor microenvironment and immune engagement.

Qualifikationen

• PhD/MD/MD-PhD in molecular biology, cancer biology, immunology, computational biology, or related field.
• Demonstrated scientific excellence with impactful postdoctoral research and first-author publications.
• 3–5 years translational research experience including molecular profiling, multi-omics, spatial biology, single-cell tech, or functional immune assays.
• Strong quantitative and computational skills to analyze high-dimensional data and translate findings into insights.

Aufgaben

• Develop and lead translational biomarker strategies across oncology programs from first-in-human to registrational studies.
• Collaborate across Research, Clinical Development, Biostatistics, Regulatory, and Diagnostics to align scientific goals.
• Design translational research plans using clinical samples and multi-omic data to inform decisions.
• Develop and deploy biomarker assays across programs to support development decisions.
• Communicate progress and insights through leadership updates and manuscripts.
