Job summary

MSD is seeking an exceptional scientific leader to drive translational immunology and biomarker research within Discovery Immunology. The Senior Director will shape strategy across discovery to early development and oversee multiple teams in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment.

You will build partnerships with academic investigators and CROs, integrate multi-omics data with clinical insights, and guide studies from hypothesis through execution to inform portfolio decisions.

Qualifications

PhD or equivalent research leadership experience in immunology.
Experience leading translational and biomarker programs in pharma.
Proven ability to manage multiple teams and partnerships.
Strong collaboration with clinical and data science teams.

Responsibilities

Lead translational and biomarker research portfolio and mentor teams.
Design translational experiments linking MOA, biology, PK/PD to endpoints.
Guide forward and reverse-translational studies with internal and external partners.
Implement biomarker strategies across preclinical and clinical settings.
Communicate findings and prepare abstracts, talks, and publications.
