Job summary

Danaher Corporation, through SCIEX, seeks a Staff Scientist COE in Marlborough, MA. The role delivers advanced omics demonstrations, develops methods, and leads cross-functional teams to support commercial outcomes in quantitation and characterization via mass spectrometry.

The position reports to the Director, Center of Excellence and requires磊 extensive LC-MS expertise, scientific leadership, and collaboration across global labs and product teams. Travel internationally is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in analytical chemistry, chemistry, biochemistry, life sciences, or related with 15+ years; or Master’s with 8+; or PhD with 5+ in metabolomics, lipidomics, or omics.
• Hands-on LC-MS workflows for metabolomics, lipidomics, and quantitative small molecule analysis across matrices.
• Experience planning and delivering customer-facing scientific demonstrations.
• Experience authoring and maintaining controlled technical documentation (SOPs, protocols, validation summaries).
• Experience working across distributed stakeholders to translate findings into requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute advanced omics customer-sample demonstrations on SCIEX mass spectrometry platforms, tailoring workflows to defined customer needs and success criteria.
• Develop, validate and maintain analytical methods, SOPs, benchmark studies and reference data that deliver reproducible, decision-ready results.
• Establish demonstration-readiness standards for assigned applications, including workflow protocols, instrument/software configuration, data quality, troubleshooting paths and acceptance criteria.
• Provide scientific leadership to global field application scientists and regional demo laboratories through technical coaching and best-practice sharing.
• Design and execute external customer evaluations and scientific collaborations; translate findings into new demonstration capabilities and prioritized product requirements; partner with multiple teams to support opportunities.
