Job summary

SCIEX, a Danaher operating company, is seeking an Application Scientist to support LC-MS demonstrations, method development, and training for the Clinical and Forensics markets. This on-site role reports to the Sr Manager, Application Support and is part of the North America Applications team located in Marlborough, MA or Golden, CO and will be an on-site role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related life sciences field.
• 2+ years experience with mass spectrometry, LC-MS, and related techniques with strong understanding of method development, validation, and troubleshooting for LC-MS/MS methods.
• Ability to present scientific data clearly to diverse audiences and build strong relationships with customers and internally within SCIEX.
• Proven capacity to troubleshoot instrumentation and application-related issues.
• Experienced with small molecule quantitation on triple quadrupoles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver customer demonstrations of SCIEX LC/MS products and workflows.
• Provide on-site training for customers on SCIEX hardware and software platforms.
• Work with business and sales units to pinpoint areas needing growth.
• Investigate and develop comprehensive solutions including sample preparation, analytical methods, and reporting.
• Collaborate with colleagues in different regions to develop a full suite of application solutions.
