Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a skilled school social worker for a contract role just outside Philadelphia, PA. You will lead and support student well-being through direct counseling and program coordination.

• Master's degree in Social Work is required.
• Valid LSW or LCSW license.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience, preferably in a school/educational environment.
• Strong background in supporting special education needs.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Effective communicator with ability to collaborate across teams and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Student Support Team, including counselors, reviewing caseloads, goals, and documentation regularly.
• Align with special education counseling mandates and support planning of 1:1 and small group sessions.
• Lead regular meetings with Special Education and Culture & Climate teams to guide Tier III interventions.
• Act as liaison for McKinney Vento Homeless support and coordinate with external support agencies (e.g., IBHS, CGRC, CCTC).
• Provide individual and group counseling, developing intervention strategies for social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
• Partner with teachers, administrators, and parents to design comprehensive student support plans.
• Assess students to determine needs and ensure access to services.
• Offer crisis intervention when urgent mental health or safety concerns arise.
• Lead workshops or training sessions addressing well-being, bullying, and related issues.
• Maintain confidential records of all student interactions and progress.
