Job summary

Qualifications

• MSW from an accredited school of social work.
• Valid PA LSW or LCSW credential.
• PA School Social Worker Educational Specialist certificate.
• Experience in school settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure students are living within the district by conducting home visits.
• Collaborate with educational agencies, parents, and community resources to support learning.
• Consult with stakeholders to understand factors in home, school, and community that affect learning.
• Assist families in accessing community resources and services.
• Provide direct interventions including counseling and educational programs.
• Provide crisis and emergency assistance and participate in threat assessment activities.
• Assist in planning therapeutic, remedial, and behavioral modification activities.
• Use assessments to develop interventions to improve student learning.
• Communicate concerns with students and parents regarding attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendents and Director of Student Services.
