Kids for the Future is seeking a School Social Worker to serve in a Philadelphia area high school. The role acts as a liaison between home, school and community, helping remove barriers to student success.

Required is an MSW preferred or a BSW with 5+ years experience; strong crisis intervention and collaboration skills are essential. On-site position with duties in counseling, referrals, and coordination with staff.

Competenze

• MSW preferred or BSW with 5+ years experience.
• Experience working with adolescents in school settings.
• Experience with reporting suspected child abuse and crisis work recommended.

Mansioni

• Interview and assess referred students to determine needed interventions.
• Provide brief counseling and referrals for students in crisis or with behavioral issues.
• Assist administrators and families to connect students with school and community resources.
• Coordinate with teachers, counselors and parents to support transitions and attendance.
• Maintain documentation as required by CSS and school policies.
• Attend meetings and participate in supervision related to the Social Work role.
