Sargent & Lundy in Metairie, LA, is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler for Capital Projects to develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, interfacing with project management, client management, engineering and construction teams.

This hybrid role offers 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, focusing on schedule performance, risk management, and reporting. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Familiar with practical application of project controls.
• 7+ years of project experience.
• Post-secondary graduate.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to multitask with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn and deliver high-quality, detail-oriented deliverables.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel/Access.

Responsibilities

• Implement project controls tools and methodology.
• Develop and support schedule requirements per client procedures and best practices.
• Perform critical path analysis and provide schedule insights and corrective actions.
• Support schedule contingency management and identify project risks.
• Provide regular project updates and report deviations from the baseline.
• Proactively manage schedule variances and communicate deviations.
• Support month-end closing and phase-gate processes.
• Ensure standardized file locations for all schedule documents.
• Produce look-ahead, actuals, and schedule quality reports.
• Assemble documentation to meet team/client needs.
• Analyze data and build reports to support monitoring and decision making.
• Interface with project management and cost analysts to forecast time-phased costs.
