Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler for Capital Projects in the United States. You will develop detailed schedules, monitor performance, and interact with project management, engineering, construction, and clients using Primavera P6.

The role requires 5+ years in scheduling, strong communication, and MS Office proficiency. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and two remote, competitive pay, and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Proficiency using Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Familiarity with the practical application of project controls.
• 5 or more years of project experience.
• Post-secondary graduate.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Motivation to learn new skills and deliver high-quality results.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel/Access.

Responsibilities

• Implement project controls tools and methodology.
• Develop and support project schedule requirements per client procedures and best practices.
• Perform critical path analysis and provide schedule insights.
• Support schedule contingency management and risk identification.
• Provide regular project updates and report deviations from baseline.
• Proactively manage schedule variances with stakeholders.
• Support month end closing and phase gate processes.
• Ensure standardized file locations for schedule documents.
• Produce look-ahead, actuals, and schedule quality reports.
• Analyze data and build reports to support monitoring and decisions.
• Interface with project management and cost analysts.
• Travel to client offices for coordination meetings as needed.
