Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Metairie, LA seeks a Lead Project Scheduler for Capital Projects to develop and maintain detailed schedules for electric capital infrastructure projects, interfacing with project management, client management, engineering, and construction.

Using Primavera P6 and MS Office, you will perform critical path analysis, monitor performance, report deviations, manage risks, and coordinate with cost analysts.

Qualifications

• Proficiency using Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Familiarity with the practical application of project controls.
• 10+ years of project experience.
• Post-secondary graduate.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact & multitask with project teams, clients, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Implement project controls tools and methodology.
• Develop and support schedule requirements per client procedures and best practices.
• Perform critical path analysis and provide schedule insights and corrective actions.
• Support schedule contingency management and identify project risks.
• Provide regular project updates and report deviations from baseline.
• Proactively manage schedule variances and address deviations.
• Support month end closing and phase gate processes.
• Ensure standardized file locations exist for all schedule documents.
• Produce look-ahead, actuals, and schedule quality reports.
• Assemble supporting documentation for project team and client requests.
• Analyze data and build reports to support monitoring and decision making.
• Interface with project management to monitor schedule performance.
• Interface with cost analysts to develop time-phased cost forecasts.
