Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Lead Project Scheduler for Capital Projects to develop and maintain detailed schedules for electric infrastructure, interfacing with project management, client management, engineering and construction to ensure schedule performance using Primavera P6.

This hybrid role offers three days in-office, two remote, and may require travel to client offices; it includes a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Proficiency using Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Familiarity with the practical application of project controls.
• 10+ years of project experience.
• Post-secondary graduate.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Motivation to learn and deliver high-quality, detailed deliverables.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and Access.

Responsibilities

• Implement project controls tools and methodology.
• Develop and support project schedule requirements per client procedures and best practices.
• Perform critical path analysis and provide schedule insights.
• Support schedule contingency management and risk identification.
• Provide regular project updates and report deviations from baselines.
• Proactively manage schedule variances and engage stakeholders.
• Support month-end closing and phase gate processes.
• Ensure standardized file locations for all schedule documents.
• Produce look-ahead, actuals, and schedule quality reports.
• Assemble supporting documentation for project team and client requests.
• Analyze data and build reports to support monitoring and decision making.
• Interface with project management to monitor schedule performance.
• Interface with cost analysts to develop time-phased cost forecasts.
• Travel to client offices for coordination meetings may be required.
