Job summary

Rise Technical in Austin, Texas, is seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer to own end-to-end control systems for renewable energy and battery storage projects. This hands-on role spans design through commissioning, influencing how infrastructure is delivered as the company scales.

You will lead the technical development of SCADA, SEL RTACs, PLCs, and data interfaces for solar, wind, and storage facilities, while supporting field installations and on-call emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience programming SEL systems, RTACs, and substation automation.
• Background in power automation systems and enterprise-grade SCADA.
• Experience with PLC and logic control of utility systems.
• Experience with SQL databases and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Support installation and commissioning of equipment both remotely and in the field.
• Develop, maintain, and support communications and reliability of site MET towers and data loggers.
• Provide off-hour support for emergencies and major system events affecting asset operations.
• Support project engineering in evaluating technical designs, specifications, and operational requirements.
