Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Automation Engineer to design SCADA and communications systems for electric grid projects. You will develop diagrams, schematics, and network drawings while coordinating with relay settings engineers and vendors.

The role includes traveling up to 30% and a hybrid work arrangement, with relocation support depending on location. Prior experience with utility-grade SCADA, RTUs, IEDs, and protection communications is essential.

Qualificações

• 5 years of experience in design, configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting of substation SCADA and communication systems.
• Experience with SEL, Novatech, and GE RTUs and software.
• Knowledge of DNP, Modbus, SEL, IEC-61850 (MMS/Goose) protocols—serial & IP.
• Basic LAN/WAN understanding; proficiency with MS Office.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, engineer, and design SCADA and communications systems for client projects.
• Develop block diagrams, panel layouts, SCADA schematics, and network drawings.
• Review P&C drawings for SCADA requirements and develop RTU/IED data points lists.
• Configure RTUs and PACs (SEL, GE, etc.) and program HMI applications.
