Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U FI-CA Senior Consultant to deliver hands-on configuration and support for utility receivables, payments, and financial processing in SAP FI-CA within a US utilities context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Typically 3–4 years of SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience, including FI‑CA hands-on work.
• Hands-on experience delivering functional requirements, configuration, testing and production support in utilities.
• Experience with payment processing, clearing, collections, dunning, open-item management and FI‑CA account determination.
• Understanding of FI‑CA integration with IS‑U Billing and FI/CO GL, including reconciliation and period-end considerations.

Responsibilities

• Configuring and supporting FI‑CA contract accounts, business‑partner relationships, main and subtransactions, account determination, posting controls, and open‑item processing.
• Designing and testing payment processing, payment lots, bank-statement interfaces, cash-desk flows, payment allocation, returns, refunds, and reversals.
• Configuring clearing strategies, dunning, collections, installment plans, promise-to-pay, security deposits, write-offs, and other receivables processes.
• Supporting FI‑CA events and BRF+ rules for process control, automation, and exception handling.
• Analyzing FI‑CA integration with General Ledger, reconciliation, period-end processing, and impacts to billing, tax, and customer-service transactions.
• Preparing functional designs, configuration documentation, test cases, process flows, and other project deliverables.
• Executing unit and integration testing and supporting user acceptance testing, regression testing, close-cycle validation, and defect resolution.
• Working with Billing, Customer Service, Retail Choice, banking partners, collection agencies, and FI/CO teams to resolve end-to-end defects.
• Providing production support, root-cause analysis, reconciliation assistance, and functional guidance to users and technical teams.
• Collaborating with client stakeholders and project leadership to communicate issues and support timely solutions.
• Providing knowledge transfer and functional guidance to client teams and junior members.
