Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U FI‑CA Senior Consultant to deliver hands‑on configuration and support for utility receivables, payments, collections, and financial processing in SAP FI‑CA. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams across meter‑to‑cash processes to ensure accurate processing and reconciliation.

Responsibilities include configuring FI‑CA contract accounts, testing payment interfaces, and supporting end‑to‑end interfaces. Travel up to 60% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Typically, 3–4 years of SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience, including hands-on FI-CA.
• Hands-on experience delivering functional requirements, configuration or solution design, testing, and production support in a utility environment.
• Hands-on experience with payment processing, clearing, collections, dunning, open-item management, and FI-CA account determination.
• Understanding of FI-CA integration with SAP IS-U Billing and FI/CO General Ledger, including reconciliation and period-end considerations.
• Willingness to travel 40–60%.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support FI‑CA contract accounts, business-partner relationships, main and subtransactions, account determination, posting controls, and open‑item processing.
• Design and test payment processing, payment lots, bank‑statement or payment‑file interfaces, cash‑desk flows, payment allocation, returns, refunds, and reversals.
• Configure clearing strategies, dunning, collections, installment plans, promise‑to‑pay, security deposits, write‑offs, and other receivables processes.
• Support FI‑CA events and BRF+ rules for process control, automation, and exception handling.
• Analyze FI‑CA integration with General Ledger, reconciliation, period‑end processing, and impacts to billing, tax, and customer‑service transactions.
• Prepare functional designs, configuration documentation, test cases, process flows, and other project deliverables.
• Execute unit and integration testing and supporting user acceptance testing, regression testing, close‑cycle validation, and defect resolution.
• Work with Billing, Customer Service, Retail Choice, banking partners, collection agencies, and FI/CO teams to resolve end‑to‑end process and interface defects.
• Provide production support, root‑cause analysis, reconciliation assistance, and functional guidance to business users and technical teams.
• Collaborating with client stakeholders and project leadership to communicate issues, clarify requirements, and support timely solution decisions.
• Providing knowledge transfer and functional guidance to client teams and junior project team members.
