Job summary

Park Lawn Corporation in Kannapolis, NC is seeking a results-driven Sales Leader to create and drive sales strategies for funeral and cemetery services. You will recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team, set targets, and monitor performance to ensure location growth and client satisfaction.

The role requires a four-year degree, at least two years of management and three years in sales, and strong communication. Benefits include health plans and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years management experience; Funeral Home and/or Cemetery desired.
• Minimum of 3 years sales experience.
• Proven track record of success in inside sales production.
• Demonstrated ability to build, inspire, train and energize sales team.
• Ability to read and interpret company policies, procedures, contracts, insurance documents and pricing structures or list.
• Ability to effectively work and develop sales leads and referrals from recognized sources and approved methods.
• Ability to compute discounts, interest, profit and loss; commission, markup, and selling price.
• Effective and professional communication skills; proactive and resourceful.
• May require insurance license and a valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages the sales team’s performance through coaching, discipline, and actions as needed.
• Recruits and trains an effective sales staff.
• Leads team by example in sales activity and volume.
• Meets or exceeds the sales targets for the location(s).
• Develops and implements sales initiatives to motivate and energize the team.
• Generates sales leads through community involvement and civic relationships.
• Monitors and analyzes sales results, client feedback, and payments to drive action.
• Meets with client families to present options pertaining to interment, cemetery property, and related services.
• Attends services to foster relationships and potential referrals.
• Complies with company procedures for customer service and confidentiality.
