Job summary

Recorded Future is seeking a technically credible, hands-on leader for the US Public Sector Sales Engineering team. You will guide a distributed team across Federal, DoD, IC, and state/local government accounts, shaping a proactive, high-performance operating model.

You will combine deep security knowledge with strong leadership to standardize discovery, demos, value engagements, and post-sale handoffs, driving strategic wins and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 4+ years leading a Sales Engineering or PreSales team in cybersecurity.
• Experience supporting Public Sector customers at Federal/DoD/IC levels.
• Deep knowledge of threat intelligence, SIEM, SOAR, APIs and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a distributed team of Sales Engineers serving Federal, DoD, IC, Civilian, State, and Local Government customers.
• Establish a consistent operating model across team coverage, technical sales processes, performance expectations, and leadership visibility.
• Assess team capabilities and capacity, addressing development, hiring, performance, and career-growth needs.
• Partner with Public Sector sales leaders to clarify Account Director and Sales Engineer accountability and create a proactive model.
• Standardize technical discovery, demonstrations, Proof of Value engagements, technical validation, and post-sale handoffs.
• Lead from the front on strategic opportunities and help the team secure the technical win.
• Partner with Product, Professional Services, Intelligence Services, and Channel to improve customer outcomes and inform Public Sector strategy.
