Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Inside Sales/Quote Specialist to manage opportunities from request to order handoff. You will develop accurate quotations by gathering customer requirements and coordinating internal inputs, while maintaining detailed records in ERP/CRM systems.

The role emphasizes strong communication with customers and internal teams, with a focus on resolving issues and ensuring on-time delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent industry experience may be considered
• Minimum of five (5) years in inside sales, customer service, account management, or related fields
• Experience with commercial vehicles, truck equipment, vocational applications, or manufacturing environments preferred
• Ability to translate customer requirements into accurate quotations and manage details through quote and order execution
• Strong communication with customers, OEMs, dealers, vendors, and internal teams
• Technical familiarity with truck terminology or ability to learn quickly
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Ability to learn ERP, pricing, CRM, and other business systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Must complete additional screening after conditional offer

Responsibilities

• Own execution of assigned opportunities from initial request through quotation, order handoff, and delivery support
• Develop accurate quotations by gathering customer requirements and confirming scope
• Maintain quote status, opportunity details, documentation, and follow-up actions in approved systems
• Support forecast visibility, pipeline accuracy, and quote conversion with timely information
• Translate customer requirements into internal direction for engineering, purchasing, and operations
• Coordinate with internal teams to confirm feasibility, lead times, and production readiness
• Identify risks and address pricing, scope, timing, or operational concerns
• Build product and application knowledge and act as a key customer contact for quotes
• Support sales managers and leadership by managing execution details
• Track opportunities, quotes, follow-ups, commitments, and internal actions
