dbt Labs is expanding its Enterprise sales team and seeks a talented German-speaking Senior Sales Engineer to work with Enterprise customers, understand complex business needs, and demonstrate how our data replication solutions drive outcomes.

This full-time remote role is based in Germany, with a preference for Munich; you will collaborate with sales, engineering, and partners, delivering proofs of value and technical wins throughout the sales cycle.

Qualifications

• German language proficiency at a professional level.
• 5+ years in data replication, sales engineering, or related technical field.
• Strong technical background in database replication, cloud infra, and data replication tech.
• Experience with modern data analytics tech, including cloud data warehouses, transformation tooling, data catalogs, and BI tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with other data replication or ETL tools.
• Experience with self-hosted software applications and supporting infrastructure.
• Hands-on networking experience in cloud and on-premise.

Responsibilities

• Understand enterprise customers' business and data replication requirements.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations to enterprise audiences.
• Drive an organized proof-of-value to secure a technical win.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive changes across the company.
• Work with multiple sales representatives while maintaining customer focus and technical excellence.
• Stay up-to-date on industry technologies and trends.
• Assist team members in resolving advanced technical or business roadblocks.
