Prefect is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer in the United States to own the technical validation of enterprise deals and to demonstrate how Prefect Cloud, Dagster, and FastMCP fit together for customers. You will collaborate with account executives from discovery through signature, crafting tailored demos and proofs of concepts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering experience building real solutions with Python as house language.
• 2+ years in a customer-facing role with discovery and needs analysis.
• Curiosity first, then creativity in building demos and use cases.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to engineers and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical side of enterprise deals from discovery to close, presenting value of platforms.
• Distill customer use cases and map to integrated product solutions.
• Sell across Prefect, Dagster, FastMCP, and AI governance to align with customer goals.
• Turn feedback into product direction for GTM-engineering partnerships with evidence.
• Build demos, architecture diagrams, competitive materials, and internal repos.
• Advocate ideas and help projects stay on track and aligned with customer needs.
