We’re also selling FastMCP, an open-source framework that sits inside production stacks; teams rely on us for how the data layer, orchestration layer, and context layer fit together, with agents and humans operating across all three. You’ll be a Senior Sales Engineer on the Prefect SME pod, pairing with account executives from the

Qualifications

• 3+ years engineering experience delivering real solutions; Python is our house language.
• 2+ years in a customer facing role.
• Curiosity first, then creativity.
• You explain hard things clearly to engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical side of enterprise deals. From discovery through close: advising prospects, presenting and demonstrating the value of our platforms from a technical perspective.
• Distill the use case. Most prospects don’t arrive with a clean requirement.
• Sell across the platform. A single conversation can span Prefect, Dagster, FastMCP, hybrid architecture, and AI governance.
• Turn field signal into product direction. Carry market feedback into GTM engineering channels with evidence.
• Build the things we sell with. Demo environments, architecture diagrams, competitive battlecards, contributions to internal repos, and more.
• Contribute and advocate for your ideas. Champion the culture and help fix issues early.
