Job summary

ExxonMobil seeks a seasoned Sales Development Manager to lead sales development and qualification efforts for battery anode materials (BAM) in the EV/ESS space. You will drive growth by leveraging relationships with automotive OEMs and battery manufacturers, and by negotiating commercial agreements with suppliers.

As part of the Marketing & Sales team within the Carbon Materials business, you will advance product qualifications and manage key accounts, developing new opportunities and ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably in battery materials and/or EV/ESS industries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Public speaking, customer presentations and trade shows.
• Multilingual capabilities, international experience, and familiarity with CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales development and qualify customers in BAM for EV/ESS markets.
• Negotiate with battery anode/cathode materials suppliers and manage complex supply chains.
• Manage key accounts and develop new business opportunities; close commercial agreements.
• Advance product qualifications and drive commercialization of new products.
• Develop and execute global sales strategies and manage long sales cycles.
