Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking a Customer & Applications Development Engineer to drive the adoption of commercial and developmental Li-ion battery anode products. The successful candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in battery assembly and testing, develop market solutions, and represent ExxonMobil across various industry interfaces.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years working experience in commercial scale cell and/or battery assembly and testing.
• Development and testing experience of anode and battery materials.
• Hands-on experience with developing technical specifications for components and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal battery application testing of ExxonMobil and commercially available products.
• Develop advanced market solutions in close cooperation with Sales and Marketing.
• Represent ExxonMobil in interactions with customers and industry partners.

Skills

Commercial scale cell and/or battery assembly and testing

Design and development of batteries/cell

Experience with lithium-ion cells

Strong understanding of carbon anode materials

Ability to influence without authority

Education

B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Electrochemistry or Chemical Engineering
