Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Engineer, Safety Risk Analyst to join our Global Engineering & Technology Center in Puerto Rico. The role requires strong analytical skills to produce safety risk analyses for diverse products, using statistics, Weibull and Monte Carlo methods, with documentation to regulatory standards.

Hybrid work is offered with 3 days onsite in Aguadilla, PR and 2 days remote per schedule. A STEM degree and 5+ years of related experience are typically required, with U.S.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of related experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship required for access to sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety risk analyses for products across Collins SBUs using statistics, reliability and risk forecasting.
• Develop hazards and forecasts relative to military and commercial safety thresholds.
• Document methodologies and results to regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with Risk Analysis and Statistical Methods communities of practice.
• Support safety policy, risk management and improvement activities.
