Collins Aerospace in Aguadilla, PR is recruiting a Senior Engineer, Safety Risk Analyst to join our Global Engineering & Technology Center. You will apply statistics, reliability, and safety methods to provide rigorous safety risk analyses across products and programs within Collins SBUs.

The role requires strong problem-solving, advance knowledge in Weibull, Monte Carlo and risk forecasting, and collaboration with product teams. Hybrid work combines onsite and remote days as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsabilités

• Take full technical responsibility for communicating with internal customer to achieve the best possible safety risk analysis (SRA) with the data available.
• Provide input to optimize product safety mitigation implementation, including specialized burndown plans to account for nonstandard scenarios.
• Participate at Collins Risk Analysis and Statistical Methods community of practice (CoP).
• Support the Product Safety Managers (PSM) as needed with participation and support at the Product Safety Integrity Team (PSIT) and Product Safety Board (PSB).
• Support development of strategic roadmap for SMS safety risk management pillar.
• Develop and maintain Standard Work, lessons learned, processes, and best practices for safety risk analysis.
• Coordinate with Reliability and System Safety Analysis to assure product safety imperfections and improvements are properly recorded and accounted for in read-across,
