Job summary

Parsons is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support a major program and construction management team delivering a large, complex industrial infrastructure project in the United States. You will lead safety, health, and environmental activities, oversee contractor safety performance, and promote a proactive safety culture across construction, commissioning, and startup.

Based near Little Rock, Arkansas, the role is a 4–5 year contract. During the first year, remote work is allowed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 10+ years of inspection experience.
• Direct construction-inspection experience is required; lead/supervisory inspection experience preferred.
• Experience inspecting civil/structural work on large industrial projects.
• Ability to interpret civil/structural drawings, specs, and submittals.
• Strong field-observation, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate inspection of civil, structural, architectural, and site-development work.
• Assign inspection coverage based on schedules, risk, and hold points.
• Review drawings, submittals, shop drawings, and test plans.
• Inspect earthwork, foundations, concrete, reinforcement, drainage, utilities, and site work.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, and materials against requirements.
• Coordinate surveys, material sampling, testing, and field inspections.
• Maintain accurate field records and prepare inspection reports and punch-lists.
• Provide technical direction and quality oversight to inspectors.
