Job summary

Luster National is seeking Safety Managers to support large, complex heavy civil infrastructure programs across highways, bridges, transit, and airports. You will enforce contractual safety requirements, review site safety plans, and audit contractor safety performance in the field to ensure controls are in place and effective.

This role emphasizes leadership across multiple contracts, incident investigations, and regulatory coordination with OSHA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related safety/construction field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of construction safety experience on large, complex projects (>$500M).
• Experience developing/reviewing site-specific safety plans and hazard analyses.
• Experience conducting field safety audits and stop-work actions with tracking of corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead program-level safety governance across concurrent contracts and develop enterprise safety procedures.
• Review site-specific safety plans and verify OSHA compliance; track open items to closure.
• Audit contractor safety performance and verify controls at the work face during site walks.
• Drive corrective actions through to closure and coordinate incident investigations.
• Oversee safety submittals, training tracking, and OSHA recordkeeping per contract documents.
• Review high-hazard activities and ensure proper permits and approvals are in place.
