Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, safety engineering, construction management, or civil engineering, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of construction safety experience for large, complex heavy-civil projects.
• Experience developing/reviewing site safety plans and hazard analyses.
• Experience conducting field safety audits and corrective actions.
• Incident investigation and root-cause analysis experience.
• Supervising field safety staff on active construction sites.
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and OSHA reporting obligations.
• Experience with high-hazard activities (excavation, shoring, fall protection, crane/rigging).

Responsibilities

• Lead program-level safety governance across multiple contracts.
• Review and accept site safety plans and hazard analyses for conformance with requirements.
• Audit contractor safety performance and observe high-hazard activities in the field.
• Drive corrective actions to closure and prevent repeat findings.
• Oversee incident investigations and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Administer safety requirements in contract documents and training tracking.
• Review temporary works and high-hazard plans for proper approvals.
• Coordinate safety planning across overlapping contractor operations.
• Analyze safety indicators and report trends to leadership.
• Coordinate with regulators during inspections and follow-up commitments.
