Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Safety CAE Engineer to lead early-phase design and safety validation for vehicle architectures. You will guide CAE teams across programs, develop safety strategies, and ensure rigorous analysis and timely delivery.

Applicants should bring 5+ years in safety/crashworthiness CAE, strong LS-DYNA/CAe tool proficiency, and experience with FMVSS. This is a hybrid role with relocation support and global collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace or Biomechanics Engineering.
• 5+ years in safety and crashworthiness CAE activities.
• Knowledge of FMVSS and global safety standards.
• Ability to drive design using simulation.
• Experience leading with CAE tools in automotive programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in early program phases to meet safety requirements.
• Coordinate CAE deliverables across architecture with PTLs/VPIM.
• Develop safety strategies for architectural development with VPOs/VPIMs.
• Lead CAE simulations for vehicle programs and resolve issues.
• Ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables for all architectures.
