Job summary

General Motors seeks a Senior Performance Integration Engineer or Performance Integration Engineer to lead CAE simulations across structural and PCEI performance in high-speed crashes. You will guide design choices, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive results through LS-DYNA and related tools.

This role blends independent judgment with collaborative problem-solving in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• 2+ years of CAE/engineering experience (DRE, validation, lab).
• Knowledge of automotive engineering basics and safety standards.
• Willingness to learn new skills quickly.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with statistics and optimization methods.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Senior level: 4+ years CAE/engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply GM Safety CAE standards to deliver high-quality models and simulations.
• Perform CAE simulations to assess structural or PCEI performance across crash scenarios.
• Analyze CAE vs. test results and provide design recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement design changes.
• Plan and analyze post-test results at Vehicle Proving Grounds.
• Present status updates in Safety PIT / PDT / CIT / SP-QIT, regularly.
