Job summary

General Motors (GM) seeks a CAE-focused engineer to lead structural and PCEI performance integration across full vehicle development. You will guide simulation work, interpret results, and coordinate with design, manufacturing, and suppliers to meet safety targets.

Role supports hybrid work and relocation benefits; candidates with 4+ years in CAE or performance integration preferred. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering; Mechanical, Electrical, Aero, Civil, Materials, Applied Physics
• 2+ years CAE/related engineering experience (DRE, validation, lab)
• Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply GM Safety CAE standard work procedures
• Perform CAE simulations to evaluate structural or PCEI performance
• Plan, prepare, execute and analyze post-test results at Vehicle Proving Grounds
• Communicate results and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues
• Present performance status in forums on a regular basis
