General Motors is seeking a senior Safety CAE Architect to lead architectural development, technical execution, and mentoring of engineers conducting safety simulations for a major program. The role focuses on integrating CAE methods across vehicle architectures and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

You will drive proactive safety strategies, oversee model build and release processes, and ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables while staying current with CAE tools and industry trends.

Qualificações

• 5+ years industry experience in safety and crashworthiness integration and CAE activities, using and leading with CAE methods.
• Knowledge of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to drive early design using simulation.
• Experience coordinating safety master model development and release processes.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership in architectural development for safety simulations across vehicle programs.
• Mentor CAE engineers and coordinate with cross-functional teams (PDT, VPIT, PIT) for integration.
• Develop safety strategies for architectural development in coordination with PMs and VPOs.
• Oversee CAE tool usage, model build, and release to ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables.
• Coordinate architecture safety issues across CAE areas and SMTs.
• Interface with global partners to share learnings and ensure alignment with safety objectives.
