GM Defense is seeking a Safety CAE Modeling Engineer in Warren, MI, to create and maintain LS-DYNA CAE models for vehicle and component analyses within VDDV projects. You will perform pre- and post-processing, review model quality, document assumptions and open issues, and coordinate with design, materials, and simulation teams to resolve non-routine modeling challenges.

A bachelor's degree in engineering or physics with 3+ years of CAE/FEA experience is required; a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics.
• 3+ years of CAE/FEA or related field.
• Experience LS-DYNA modeling and pre/post-processing.
• Proficiency in Python, Tcl/Tk, to automate tasks.
• U.S. Person status required.

Responsabilités

• Create, update, and quality-check CAE models per GM standards.
• Prepare LS-DYNA models and perform pre-processing and post-processing.
• Coordinate with designers, materials specialists, and simulation teams; document assumptions and issues.
• Support analyses in vehicle safety, RESS, crashworthiness, instrumentation, and sensing domains.
• Contribute to process automation using scripting.
