Fastly, Inc. is seeking a Senior SaaS Operations Engineer to support in-office and remote staff. You will maintain IT infrastructure, scale operations in a high-growth SaaS environment, and work with a distributed team across Global offices.

Experience as a Systems Administrator and strong service-desk capabilities are required, along with a passion for AI tools and security. The role emphasizes ownership, problem solving, and collaboration with product and security teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT support roles, including 5+ years in a senior or lead engineering position.
• Deep understanding of system architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
• Strong experience with cloud-based IT environments (Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, GitHub, Atlassian), with advanced Okta knowledge.
• Hands-on experience deploying or administering enterprise AI tools (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini).
• Experience with automation and scripting for system administration.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex information systems with high availability, security, and performance.
• Identify and mitigate system vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions meeting business objectives.
• Administer enterprise AI platforms, including identity integration and access controls.
• Build AI-assisted automations to reduce manual IT work and improve employee experience.
